I saw The Who at the Capitol Centre in Largo, MD, in 1976. They were outstanding and very loud. When everyone was leaving at the show’s end, Keith Moon returned on stage and handed out a couple of cymbals and stands.

The Buddy Rich concert was excellent, but offstage, he could be rather unpleasant to his musicians.

During the Some Girls tour of 1978, the Rolling Stones headlined a day-long concert festival at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado. Ian McLagan played the keyboards, and many years later, when I moved to Texas, I became friends with him.

The 1980 Who tour was the first without Keith Moon, and the former Small Faces/Faces drummer Kenny Jones filled the chair.

The Moody Blues were among the many concerts I attended at Red Rocks in Denver, Colorado.
